Anyways, the next hike was a 2.1 mile trail along Avalanche Creek , which led to the lake of the same name. This was an easy hike through a storybook-like forest of tall, old trees with twisty, gnarled roots and a creek which wound its way through a narrow, rocky gorge, creating waterfalls and potholes at various points along the way.
