There are no train stops in Glastonbury: the closest one being Castle Cary, which is several kilometers away. So the plan was to ride bicycles from the train stop to our destination.

But due to a later-than-anticipated start, it was sunset by the time we got to Castle Cary, and nightfall a few kilometers into the journey. Being mostly out in the countryside, there were few street lights so we had to go by how well our eyes adjusted to the dark. When the fog started to set in pockets it became apparent that we weren't going to reach our destination that night, and decided to look for a place to stay if we could find one.

After passing a few pubs with no vacancies we finally found an available one in the town of Somerton: The Unicorn Inn, which is both a pub and bed and breakfast. Originally built in the 1500's, the Inn has an interesting history of its own, which can be read about in the Somerton town homepage link.

In the morning we were treated to an "English style" breakfast which included plenty of food.

This photograph shows just how old this place is; I'm not sure if the door and entrance are the original ones from the 1500s but they certainly look that way (note the brick abutments apparently added as braces later on).
