May 8, 2005: A scene on I-10 heading east towards Joshua Tree National Park. Hundreds of wind turbines along the mountain pass make up a "wind farm" that looks especially surreal when silhouetted at dusk.

Unfortunately, this day turned out to be a bust due to a minor aggravation involving my car. So, I didn't make it into the park until sundown. (But camping is a bargain at $5 a night).
