From Route 12 I took Route 24 east, which goes through Capitol Reef National Park. I didn't stop at this park, but the road goes through it. There's no admission charge to drive through the park on Rt. 24.

This park is named for the insurmountable cliffs (called "reefs" by the pioneers) -- many of which resemble stately buildings.
