I took a loop up through Los Alamos (where the secret "Tech Areas" are), heading north and then east down towards Santa Fe. This route probably ranks as having some of the most amazing, dramatic vistas that can be seen in the entire country... but again, there were very few stopoffs to take pictures (and it's also a case where you would need a Viewmaster style viewer to fully appreciate the depth of view. At some points you can see for miles together with spectacular white-capped mountains as a backdrop! ...Just take my word for it!
